What did your baby do when s/he was teething? (some TMI)

I can't tell if Abby has a cold or is teething or both. She'll be 6mo on the 4th, she is drooling like crazy and is very very mucousy, puking up boogers, gumming everything, screaming, got the runs.. what'd your baby do?

  • She could be having both. The mucus, puking up boogers, sounds like a cold where you'd want to push fluids. Drooling could be caused by not being able to swallow because her nose is stopped up. The gumming could be teething. Talk to the dr. though, or at least Call A Nurse. And hold her alot, she may just want to be comforted by you. Also, you'd be propping her up so she could breathe easier. Good luck.

  • My son just got his first 2 at 7 months... drolled like crazy! Had very low grade temps and was fussy.
But the mucous could be a cold.

  • It sounds like your little baby is teething. Give her a teething tablet & it melts instantly for numbing. I have also cut the skinny part of the carrot & then gave the baby the "bigger" part to put in their mouth so that they can chew on it. It's better than a teether because it's a little sweet for them as well & the coldness of the carrot helps soothe. It's safe because it's too big for them to swallow & they can't choke because they have no teeth to break pieces off.
