Hi everyone..
im new to Cafe Mom..
im expecting my first baby in August... :)
i really want to know what the sex of my baby is already..
but my OB said he wants to wait till im 21 weeks....
do i have to wait that long to find out or can it be sooner....
i would like to know now im 15 weeks but i think its too early..

  • Sorry hun, can't see for sure, as in a more deffinate until 20 weeks. Listen to your OB they know what they are doing

  • My ultrasound doctor said before 18 weeks things are swollen and look alike. Some women luck out and are able to tell before hand but generally between 18-22 weeks is when most women find out. You can always look into this test it worked for a friend of mine. Not much longer!

  • Well Congrats!
    It's possible to find out sooner but around 20 weeks is the best time for them to get the baby's measurements and stuff! If there is a place near you that does free ultrasounds you can have one done there. A college near where I live does them free as a part of there study.

  • Around 20 weeks is the best time to tell. At 15 weeks the male and female genitalia look so similar that it's really hard to tell the difference 100%.
