Do i wipe it clean or leave it alone?

On little baby girls, there is sometimes that white discharge stuff that is made in the vagina of the babies. Are you supposed to wipe that away every time you change their diaper, or do you leave it alone?

  • Leave it alone. When you wipe it you wipe away the good bacteria that keeps her from getting an infection. Now some moms will disagree with me (my mom did). But my pediatrician said the same thing at one of her check ups. If you notice an odor, odd colored discharge or it is bothering her of course it could be something else worth asking a doctor about.

  • Wipe the labial area, not inside the vaginal area. Talk to the ped to have them show you how. They will too. :)
