How to get childs urine out of mattress?

Its a pillow top mattress. I sprayed some carpet cleaner on it and let it sit, then put a towel on it to take out the moisture. But all that did was 1) remove the stain and 2) add a chemical smell on top of the urine. Any help?

  • Go to the pet store and pick up a bottle of Nature's Miracle. It's an enzyme-based product, safe around pets & children, and the enzymes will 'eat' the stain, removing both the smell & the visible mark.

  • Pour baking soda on top of the spot, it soaks up the urine and then once it is dry, vacuum the top of the mattress. Works every time.
