does x-ray effect breastmilk?

  • not that i know of. I had x-rays for dental reasons and i also had some for my back and neck and i didn't see where it had any affect on my milk. but you can always ask your doc. just to be sure.

  • i dont think so. i had x-rays for dental reasons also and i also had some chest x-rays when i was sick (ended up i had phnemona or however its spelled). i was told that it was safe and it did not seem to effect my milk or my lo.

  • No it does not. It is fine to get an x-ray while breastfeeding and it is fine for pumped milk to go through the x-ray machine at the airport.
