  • OMGNESS! They are VERY playful and in your face type of dogs. My best friend has 2, she got them when they were babies. Every time I bring my daughter to her house she has to put them outside or they will jump all over her. And the male can sometimes be more aggressive, he growls at my daughter from time to time. The female chews EVERYTHING.

  • oh they are LOVELY!!!

BUT!!! They're cowdogs/sheepdogs! They need a job!!!, this can generally be controlled by making "fetch" an integral part of their daily routine! They need lots of toys, and for a while, lots of exercise! A very fun breed, I've got a heeler/corgi cross and she's one of the best dogs I've ever had in my entire life. If I could find another after she's gone, I would definitely take it home!

  • I love corgis. My parents had them the whole time I was growing up and they are the best dogs. Very easy to train and eager to please. The only problem is they are healers, so they often try to herd little ones around, but have never did it in an aggressive way. Mostly just suggest that the little ones should go where they want them to, They do shed A LOT. All the ones that I have been around are very hardy and love children so I would say congrats and enjoy your new family member.

  • Corgis are one of my least favorite breeds because of their looks HOWEVER having owned herding dogs---blue heelers and border collies---they need a job or you will have a neurotic little dog on your hands:-) People I know who own them just love the heck out of them......

  • They have attitudes if they are not trained to obey. They also are a one owner type of dog.

  • I have a one year old corgi! I absolutely adore him. I studied many breeds of dogs for several years before deciding on a corgi, and I am so glad I did! I think they are the perfect size and temperament. My dog is a brindle and white Cardigan Welsh Corgi--the corgi with a tail! He has been very easy to train.ร‚ย They are sturdy enough so a child can't hurt them by accidentally stepping on them, but they in turn are small enough they won't hurt a child knocking them over. Corgi shed A LOT!!! They are short-haired with a thick, soft undercoat, but aside from a daily brushing, they don't require a lot of care. They don't have that "doggy smell" and they don't slobber. They are happy living in a small house or apartment, but do better with a yard or plenty of exersize in a dog park or a daily walk.ร‚ย
