I just recently purchased a new couch. When it arrived, it had a strong new couch/ animal hide odor to it. I thought the new smell would go away. It has been over a month and it still smells. The company won't let me return it. I have thought about selling it, but what if that smell is a harmful chemical. I don't want to hurt any one else. Any suggestions on what to do?

I have added plants to the room, put charcoal, vinegar, and baking soda around the couch to absorb the odor and it is still bothering me.

  • Let it air out in the garage for awhile that will do the job. I love the smell of leather I would take it off your hands if I could. GL
