I'd get some picture books about being a big brother and having a new baby in the house. Starting no more than 2 months before, start reading them to him.
Also, start having "mommy & me" time with him. A once a week "date" with just him where you go do something fun. It could be just a trip to the ice cream store, a special park to feed ducks, or something bigger like bowling (yep, toddlers can "bowl"). Have your hubby do the same. When the baby arrives, make a point of still doing this. Each of you taking turns having a "date" with one child while the other has a "date" with the other child. Keep this up for YEARS and it will really help when they hit the "tween" years.
