  • It could be that he's just playing with them, or it could be an infection. It's impossible to know without having the doctor take a look, so it would probably be best to take him in. My son had his first ear infection & I only noticed him pulling at his ear three or four times that day. We were RIGHT down the road from his doctor's office, so I figured I'd take him in to be safe, and sure enough it was an infection. He hadn't been fussy or anything, so it's very hard to tell!

  • My son is also 11 mos. just had a double ear infection. He never once pulled at his ears or even cried. For him his eyes became swollen & full of gook. Each child is so different and have different symptoms. Make an appointment with the doctor now just in case it is ear infections.

  • my DD used to pull at her ears when they hurt her and whine a little, too. I think I would have it checked out. Don't wanna mess around with the ears...very important.

  • My son got ear infections often during his first year. Everytime it was the same symptoms. Fever, crankiness, red ear(s), and crying from pain. He'd also stick his fingers in his ears like they felt funny to him.

  • my dd always had ear infections...she would get cranky, feverish, she wouldnt eat, you couldnt go near her ears, she would cry if you touched them...but each kid is different...if your really concerned i would say take him to the DR.
