My son has diahrea starting yesterday.

What can I do for him to make it go away other than avoiding milk? I've been sticking with juices and water and not giving him anything with dairy in it. HELP?!?!?!

  • Dairy usually helps bulk up. Juice is bad because the sugar makes diarrhea worse. Stick to water and milk (unless it usually loosens his stools or he starts puking) and give him plenty of starches and carbs to eat (breads, potatoes, crackers, bananas, applesauce, rices, etc) Peanut butter and cheeses are usually pretty good binders, too.

I would also try some yogurt for the probiotics.

  • another think you could do is:::: if your child likes tea, make some decalf tea, add sugar for taste and then a pinch of salt! it works everytime.. if not see a doctor..
