  • LOL, Try 300-600 in Ohio for a heating bill. That is nothing. Tell him that and he may pass out.

  • I'm in Alabama, bill last month was $400 but that also includes water and garbage. 150 would be so sweet!
One thing I have started doing and saw an improvement (before last month anyway) was unplug everything! coffee maker, toaster, microwave, tv's, computer and modem, when I am not using them. I saw about a 50 decrease per month.

  • I live in Ohio and my heating bill is currently around $450 per month. I used to live in SC and my bill there in the cooler monthst was around $160, in Florida in the cooler months my bill was $180. $150 is a really good price for a heating bill these days! (I can't just bundle up, my hubby used to tell me that too, but I already sleep under 3 comforters at a time. He appreciates the heat more now with the kids and I hate it because of menopause :-) )

  • That is what mine is duting the summer months. During the winter it has been anywhere from $280-$310 so far. We are all electric, but still. The heaters pull a lot more electricity that the ac does. That sounds pretty cheap or normal to me. I would tell him to put a sock in it. And be grateful that you haven't reached the $300.00 mark.
