Can i get my period when breastfeeding?

So i normally get a few very small drops of blood around that time of the month. Well yesterday the whooooole flood came which concerns me a little because i thought you didnt get you period when nursing or with a IUD (i have one in). Is this normal??

  • I got my period when my daughter was about 6 months old and I was breastfeeding and had an IUD. The IUD gave me very heavy periods.

  • im not sure if you are suppose to get a period with an iud i never had one. but it is normal to get a period while nursing.

  • it took me a year after nursing to have a period, but some women have them and it's normal.... everyone's hormones are different
