we found a ring that says "14 k f"

obviously its 14 karat, but then there's the f and a symbol..whats that mean?

  • "happyathomemum" is right: you're seeing 14kt, which means you really scored when you found it! :-) I found one last fall in a Toys-R-Us parking lot that's a heart-shaped ruby with little diamonds around it ~~ and it also has 14kt stamped inside it, but I had to use a little magnifying glass to read it. Old age sucks!!

  • Usually carat is abreviated kt. so maybe you are just seeing the t..not an f.
