  • With my first I took 9 weeks off which was the rest of my FMLA. With this one, I didn't take any time off from my work at home job (I tutor from home for my college) but I have taken a month off from substitute teaching. I'm going back next week, so 5 weeks off.

  • The 12 weeks allowed by FMLA and then I never went back!

  • Honestly, I won't go to work until he is in school. But that's what I want to do.

  • I worked until the day before he was born.  I took off the Friday he was born, plus two weeks.  My son was 17 days old when I returned to work full-time as a nanny for four children.  He came with me every day, and my job was basically like being a stay-at-home mom, so it was not that bad.

  • Until she started school. Then I started work at home.
