Can you cook meat in a crockpot? and how?

Can you throw raw meat in a crock pot or how long can you keep meat in a crock pot?ect.,

  • I've cooked roasts in the crockpot- I put them in raw, add seasonings, and slow cook for around 8 hours. On low they can last a good while.

  • yea. of course you can. but it also depends on the meat. ...most of the time you cook it on medium or low and let it sit all day. put it in late the night before or early in the morning and leave it there. it will be ready for dinner when you're ready.

  • A few months ago I put a turkey breast in one which I left cook all day. OMG! I will never eat this any other way, it was so good. I always inject my turkey and turkey breast with Italian dressing to give it a unique taste and it was better than anything I've ever had anywhere.

  • Just make sure to add water or chicken stock to keep the meat moist!
