Raid on illegals has some Obama supporters upset, what are your thoughts?
Immigrant rights groups blasted President Obama on Wednesday for breaking what they called his "personal commitment" to change Bush-era immigration raids after U.S. authorities raided an engine machine shop in Washington state and detained illegal immigrants.
The Obama administration itself seemed taken aback by the raid by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents, with Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano vowing to Congress that she would "get to the bottom of this."

"The secretary is not happy and this is not her policy"

Shouldn't cracking down on illegals be her policy? Is Obama really heading to Amnesty for all?

  • Oh boo hoo, maybe they should have gotten a work visa before coming into this country. That's the problem with this administration, we might as well give up on our country's values and start letting every tom dick and harry into this country to throw it further in turmoil and debt.

  • That we are royally screwed. The woman ( Napolitano) couldn't be bothered to speak about terrorism yesterday. Like if we just don't talk about it it makes it less of a threat. Yeah that worked so well under Clinton.....Terror attacks HE ignored and let slide, so they ones who struck on 9/11 were able to slip through and train under his watch and attack us when Bush got in!

  • Immigrant rights groups are outraged, but ask 10 people how they feel about rounding up the illegals and deporting them and they will have the same answer. Then ask who they voted for. You may be surprised. Not all Obama supporters have a soft spot in their hearts for illegals. Most don't in fact. Go to a more liberal site like Huffington Post and when illegal immigrants come up, you will find most of the topics are not "booo hooo, let them stay..They have rights tooooooooo."

  • Wasn't Bush trying to head for amnesty a few years ago? Whatever happened to his "pathway to citizenship" that would have allowed the 12 million illegals the chance to skip to the front of the line as long as criteria were met? OH THAT'S RIGHT!!! Most of you have forgotten the past 8 years and look for any and all excuse to blame President Obama for EVERYTHING..You seem to think that this country was illegal-free before he took oath, there was a 0.8% unemployment rate, the stock market was in the 14K, peoples' pensions and 401k's were robust...And there were no wars. I have to admire your collective amnesia.

WE didn't forget! WE are the one's who fought to STOP it! Bush tried to "reach across the aisle" to join forces with Ted Kennedy, and WE slapped Bush's hand!

Just because we voted for the guy doesn't mean we agreed with him becoming soft and liberal on certain issues--that's why WE "called him out!"

Since Amnesty and illegal immigration are in fact liberal causes, the only link I am going to be able to find on the subject is a conservative one!

  • We need to build a fence, electrify it, and man it with armed guards 24/7. Then when that puts a stop to the thousands of illegal aliens scuttling across our borders every night, we can get to work on deporting the 12-20 MILLION illegals already infesting our country.
