how do i get my 6 month old to take a bottle?

  • Try offering it to him several times a day.. he may not take it for awhile so don't force him... but offering it to him may help get him used to the idea.

  • Try having somebody else feed your baby- they're way more likely to take a bottle from someone besides you. Have them imitate how you feed them- if you're topless, or if you use a boppy, have them try that. Or put a shirt that you've been wearing all day in between her and the person who's feeding her, so that she will smell you. Also, have them squirt a little bit into her mouth so that she knows what she'll get. Your baby is way more likely to take breastmilk from a bottle rather than formula.

    If all else fails, you could try training your baby to use a sippy cup....
