How long do you cook a pot roast in a crock pot on low?

I was thinking 6 hours on low and then 2 more hours on high. Hubby skipped lunch and wants to eat sooner :) How do you do it?

  • All day. I put it in before work at around 7:00 AM, & leave it there until dinner time at around 6:30.

  • On low, I'd have to say 8 hrs. Make sure it has water around it, don't let it dry out. If he wants to eat sooner you can try setting it higher for a few hours, but otherwise tell him to eat a snack.
