Can you see the sex of the baby at 16 weeks??

  • I believe that's the earliest you can tell the sex of the baby. We were able to get a positive identification at 18 weeks.

  • yep, its just better to wait until 20 weeks so that they can get a better view.

  • i thought you had to wait until 18-20 before you can tell but i dont know that for sure

  • they can tell you at 16wks if baby isin a good postion its a good u/s machine and the tech knows what to look for.
    its best to wait till you are 18 to 20wks though. they have been known to be wrong when giving the sex that early just because its still pretty little and hard to see.

  • I was told when I had my u/s that most of the time a good u/s tech won't tell you the gender until 18-20 weeks because it is hard to tell. It really depends on your baby.

  • i hear that some dr can tell the sex of the baby as soon as 14 weeks, with a 3d or 4d u/s

  • yes, but, usually it's not accurate until 18-20 weeks

  • I did at 16weeks and they seen the boys private. I got another ultrasound done at 19 weeks and was still a boy.
