How you know if the baby likes to be hold?

How you know if your baby likes to be hold because when i went to my baby's doctor visit he asked me..does he like to be hold? i said yes..and also i asked him how do you know if he does not like to be hold? so the doctor said he cries.....how do you know if the baby likes to be hold or not? thank you

  • Yes, they will cry if they don't like to be HELD.

  • All babies should be HELD regardless of if they like it or not. its a proven fact that it makes them more emotionally healthy when they get older. ive never seen a baby that doesnt like to be held.

  • Babies with behavior or sensory issues may not like to be held. Holding one of these babies regardless of if they like it or not is counterproductive.

    In answer to the question though, a baby will let you know it doesn't like to be held. There will be no mistaking it.
