  • No way! That would be damaging to my self esteem and he knows it. He's too loving and concerned about my feelings to be that inconsiderate and rude.

  • My ex did ~ all the time! But it was to tell me how much better/smarter/funnier/prettier I was than other women. And he wasn't doing it to stroke my ego ~ he really thought that! I know that because he ruined 10 relationships after we split up by telling his new woman that I was the perfect woman and the day we'd gotten married was the happiest day of his life.

Are you thinking "Why'd you let him go if he thought you were perfect?" Well, think about it: if this guy is so thoughtless as to tell other women he's dated that he thought I was perfect (with no consideration for their feelings) what kind of thoughtless things do you suppose he said to me? Remember, I was the perfect one, not him!! :-)
