i need an answer fast....

my two month old son has diarrhea how much pedialyte do i give him?

  • well..i think thats how old my dd was when i gave her some..i was told to give as much as you would formula..it gave mine diarhea like 2 or 3 days after drinking it..it always has for some reason..but i do agree w anon..you should call and ask just to be on the safe side..

  • As an RN i wouldnt give him that..... call the 24 hr hotline for his doc or wait til am to call his doc

  • I have been in this situation a lot. They like you to give them small amounts frequently, like half an ounce every half hour.

  • my sons dr. always says not to give it to him unless he throwing up and to the point of becoming dehydrated.

  • At 2 mos, most of the normal poop can look like diarrhea. This should only be given under a doctors instruction, and with their dosage.
