  • My kids are 5 1/2 aprat and that was a good thing for me. I had time with the oldest one befor she started school and then I had time with my baby before he started school. Worked out really good for me.

  • My hubby's sibs are older by 21 (his oldest sister, who had a baby only 10 months after my hubby was born LOL), 16, 10 and 3 years.

His sister that is only 3 years older has 3 girls... when the youngest was born her older girls were 16 and 11. Seems to have worked out just fine.

Just think... your older daughter will be a big girl and old enough to enjoy the baby and be a little helper!

  • There's and 11 year gap between mine, and it is great! My husband is second of five kids, and he is closest to his youngest sister who is 10 years younger.

  • i say if you feel you really want another child then nothing should stop you and you should have a baby. my stepson is 4 and our son is 19 months and i'm thinking we won't have another baby for a least 5 more years. so....it is all in timing and it all happens for a reason!

  • a few people say having a few years apart is better for the children, your older child will be able to help more with a new baby! (just be careful not to put them into a parent roll)
