For anyone who has the new social network, how is this different from Facebook or just plain texting? They say it's short messages/bloggging; again, how is this any different than the other means of networking?

  • It is more of a status site. You show what you are doing and can send little texts. You would only have contacts with friends and coworkers not old classmates and such.

  • A lot of writers and agents use the site, each to keep up with what the other is doing. It's easier than e-mailing in that case because an agent may be representing several writers. It is a lot easier to keep up with several clients that way than sending and receiving several different e-mails, etc.


    Also it can be used to keep yourself organized. It's used more for planning and working than anything else.
