So does anyone else think Pres. Obama is in power grab mode?

Senator Byrd does. A senior democratic senator thinks he's overstepping his authority. I wonder how he will answer the letter? He has established czars that would have authority over Cabinet officers confirmed by the Senate. Bush did this and it was wrong but here you have a democratic Senator complaining about it to a Democratic President, what is he worried about.

Bush claimed “absolute immunity” for top advisers in resisting such subpoenas, but Rep. John Conyers (D-Mich.), chairman of the Judiciary Committee, filed a lawsuit over the issue. The case is on appeal, and the Obama administration is scheduled to file a motion next week laying out its stance on the issue.

  • I don't think it will be very long before he has czars overseeing everything he wants done, he's already proven he doesn't like how bills become laws. It takes to long and nobody needs to read that stuff, if Oblahblah wants it he's gonna find a way to get it. I think he's going to tell Byrd to shove it.

  • The senator also included a line from Obama's campaign rhetoric -- "and that the lines of authority and responsibility in the administration will be transparent and open to the American public."

Even he thinks Obama is hiding his agenda.....HMMMM.

  • The Democrat senator warned, "As presidential assistants and advisers, these White House staffers are not accountable for their actions to the Congress, to cabinet officials, and to virtually anyone but the president."

  • I never said he doesn't have a clue on how a bill becomes a law, he just doesn't want to go thru the process. aka the 800 billion stimulus bill he wouldn't even let senators READ!!!!!!!!!
