Don't you think she should have pulled over?

Dayton Mother Caught Breast Feeding and Driving
Friday, February 27, 2009 – updated: 5:36 pm EST February 27, 2009

KETTERING, Ohio -- A Dayton mother is facing charges for breast feeding her daughter while driving her other children to school.

Genine Compton was pulled over by Kettering police Thursday at Far Hills and Dorothy Lane while taking her other children to school.

Police say Comptom could have injured her child and others because she was breast feeding and talking on the cell phone while driving the vehicle.

Compton was issued citations for child endangering and violating the child restraint law. Compton told News Center 7 Friday, "If my child's hungry, I'm going to feed it."

  • i think its dangerouse what if she was in a wreck? that baby could be badly hurt. hungry or not the baby will survive what 20 mins? or just pull over. i think she should get in trouble so maybe she wont do it again. its a babys life. and maybe someone elses what if she screwed up hit a car and something happend to baby not to mention the person in the other car being upset because a baby was killed even if it wasent there fault. its common thinking.

  • I'm sure the baby could have waited to eat, until she could stop somewhere. If she had an accident, and the airbag went off, it would have killed the baby. Stupid people!

  • well yes she should have... if her baby was hungry.. she should have pulled over and feed the baby, or let the baby wait a few more minutes until they were at the school and the kids were dropped off.. rather that risk the life of the baby if there was an accident.. didn't she learn from the mother that had her baby in the front seat last week?!?!

What is wrong with some of these mothers!!!!!

  • I just watched the news clip, and this woman has no clue! She had the baby's head resting on the steering wheel while she was breastfeeding her. Not a very smart mother.

  • ProudTxGrandma - are you kidding?? For crying out loud; she could have hit a pothole and the wheel jerked and whiplash or worse to the childs little neck! Come on now!! I hope CPS investigates her as well; that is beyond reckless endangerment!
