Looking for a recipe

Around Valentines Day someone put a recipe for a Italian beef sandwich made with beer. I can't find it anywhere. I would love to try it.

  • 4-5 lb. either rump roaster sirloin roast
    1 c. water
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. garlic
    1 (12 oz.) beer
    1 oz. brandy
1 env. Lipton onion soup mix
    Chopped onion (optional)

Roast meat as usual. After it is cooked, slice thin. To pan juices add water, pepper, salt, garlic, onion. Place meat in juices. Cover with beer, brandy, onion soup mix. Cover pan with foil and bake 1 1 hours at 300 degrees. Serve on buns or hard rolls. Use juice for dipping. I double the juice recipe.

  • 1 (3 1/2 - 4 lb.) chuck roast
    Oregano
1 (12 oz.) bottle peppercini peppers (I use 16 oz.)
    1 (12 oz.) can beer
    1 can beef broth

Rub all sides of roast with oregano. Put all ingredients into a crock pot, turn on high and cook 3 to 4 hours. (Or all day on low setting.) Take out bones and fat. Shred the meat and cut peppers. Mix together. Serve on warm buns with a nice pasta.
