  • Dilation and curettage (D&C) is a procedure in which the cervix of the uterus is expanded (dilated) so that the uterine lining (endometrium) can be removed with a spoon-shaped instrument called a curet or curette.

    Hope this helps.

  • i am not sure the exact meaning. i knew at one point, but they do a D&C when you have a miscarriage if you are so far along. Its where they take out what is left and make it so that you dont get sick

sorry i dont have the exact terms. hopefully someone on here can help you.

  • it would be what an abortion is if the baby was still alive. but they call it a D&C instead of abortion since your little one has passed on.
