Why are questions asked, that can't be solved?

When you know that these questions can't be solved, why are they continually posted, such as:

Which is better breast or bottle feeding?
Obama or not Obama?
Am I pregnant or not?
Spanking or not?

the list goes on and on... everyday, same stuff. Unless cafemom comes up with a "stir the pot" widget, seriously what is the point?

  • People look for opinions, not just to get a question solved and there are new members all the time or people miss it the first 100 times (LOL) so by asking again they get new opinions.

  • While there is no correct answer for everyone or everything, people can form an opinion on what they have learned and what new info they have been exposed to.

  • Ooops you are right.. I should have included that too. There are so many, I know some have slipped my mind. But, here is my thoughts: Why when these questions are posted, something could pop up and say, this question has already been asked.. see such and such... Wouldn't that make more sense???
