Bleed after a c-section?

Do you bleed from your vagina after a c-section? I have to have one for medical reasons and I'm just wondering. Thanks.

  • Well call me strange but I hardly bled at all. Maybe for a week or so.

  • I delivered my first vaginally, the second by c-section. I bled both times, but after the c-section, it was less than after the vaginal birth. They do tend to suck out some of the blood when they do the c-section, but you will still have bleeding. It might be lighter, or not last as long, though.

  • Yes you will bleed. I bled so bad after my each c-section. But I could have been doing too much?
