A womans choice?

so when it comes to having a kid how come the women get the choice weather to abort or weather to have the child and either the man doesn't get to know his child because it no longer exist or he gets to foot the bill because she decided to have the baby instead. And don't say he could of not had sex or rapped it or whatever else because she could have done the same things not to get pregnant.

  • It may be her body but it's his baby too and the baby shouldn't be able to be aborted just because mom thinks carrying a child is a big burden. That should'nt be possible ever because the baby deserves to be born and if the man wants it he should be able to have it. I think if either party could just sign away their rights it would even the playing field and more women will do what is right.

  • Since its the woman who carries, delivers and then cares for the child iit should be the woman's choice. However I feel that the father should be informed prior to any choice a woman makes regarding the child. I think its wrong to spring something like an abortion or birth on an unsuspecting man. Now his right as to tell her what to do is wrong in and of itself. If he helped make the child and she decided to keep it then yes he should help care for it. If she decides to get an abortion well i guess that sucks all the way around.

  • but how is that fair for the man when they both decided to have sex, why should she be the only one that gets to decided what happens she is not the only one that will be taking care of this child, he will be responsible also.

  • I know what you mean, OP! I think that since the "father" was equally responsable for conception, he is equally entitled to a say in the outcome. I think that if a woman wants an abortion but the man wants the child, the woman should carry the child, deliver it, and give it to the man. You want equality? There you go.

  • it takes two so i do believe the father should have a say when it comes to the termination of a pregnancy.

i said in the question above that you could not use this excuse because if she did not want to get pregnant then she could have used birth control or not had sex either, a man is not the only person that is responsible if a woman gets pregnant she is responsible also. you want the same things as a man has then you should be burdened with the same things.
