My dd gets on her hands and knees and rocks for a few seconds, is crawling coming?
I know it isn't a milestone and she will do it in her own time, but I am just wondering if this has something to do with it. Thanks!

  • Yes, this is the first step towards crawling.
She may rock back and forth for weeks before she shakily moves a hand forward. She may do many face plants once she starts trying to move her hands. Or she could take off tomorrow!

Make sure cabinets are locked and stairs are gated. Once she's mobile, she's going to want to see what all she's been missing!

  • My son started doing that a few weeks before crawling came.

  • She is close.. Try to entice her with a favorite toy or just something that sounds interesting. My lil niece first crawlled for a Taco Bell wrapper because she liked the crinkling

  • My son just started doing the same thing! He's 6 months today. I can wait a few more weeks before he starts right now is easy! LOL

  • Very soon! My son went from getting up on all 4's to scooting with in a few days and crawling within 2 weeks.
Make sure you get your house baby proofed!
