how do you make......

how do YOU make hamburgers? i mix hamburger meat and dales seasoning in a bowl together and then season them with different seasonings as im cooking them. but when i flip them, they always fall apart and i think i probably cook them on too high of a temperature because when i think they are done, they are still a little pink in the middle. i cook them on medium heat. any tips on what i can do to keep them from falling apart when i flip them and what temperature should i cook them on-medium or low??? thanks

  • Try adding some bread crumbs and I think medium heat is good, you just aren't cooking them long enough.

  • The true secret to getting a burger to stick together is to beat it. Seriously. I make some turkey burgers and don't add anything to them. But I smack the snot out of them, brush them with some oil and cook on med. happy grilling!
oh and don't keep flipping them. Let the one side cook well before flipping. I only flip once when doing mine, you get them cooked more throughly. I think I'm going to make burgers this week!

  • Add an egg with the ground beef and the seasonings. It will make the burgers stay together, and some worcerstershire sauce adds a nice flavor!

  • I make them as if I'm making meatloaf. I add green peppers, onions, one egg, shredded cheese, onion soup mix, shredded cheddar and Ritz crackesr. They are AWESOME!!!

Just shape them into patties instead of a loaf.

  • I use the onion soup mix and hamburger meat. I have never had them fall apart before; however, I always cook mine on the grill outdoors on about medium heat.

  • Dont handle it too much. And dont try to mix stuff into it! Just sprinkle seasoning on the outside. Mine never fall apart.

  • You ladies are good. I either go in the other room until hubby has made them or drive somewhere that they're already made and drive them back home.
