Disabled and stealing...

I was at the store recently and a man in a wheel chair weighted some almonds(at 6.99 a pound) he had 5 pounds but he lifted them off the scale until they read $4.oo. Do you think he was wrong?

  • If he was hungry, wouldn't a $2.00 pack of bologna hold him over for a bit? Aw, who am I to talk I was caught shoplifting once and you don't even want to know what I stole.

  • uh yeah...stealing is stealing regardless of the reason - esp almonds which aren't vital to anyone's diet...

  • ummm; if he were hungry or had no food at home there are lots of other more filling less obvious things to be stealing than 4.5 lbs of almonds - not to mention if the cashier had any sense at all they'd notice there was a lot more than a half pound or so of almonds in the bag and bust him!
