  • If you're cold, she's cold...if you're hot, she's hot. Dress her the way you would dress yourself.

  • A general rule of thumb is dress her how you're comfortable, then add a layer. So if you're wearing jammies (cotton pants and a tee shirt), put her in a sleeper and swaddle her in a blanket.

  • Agreed on the "one more layer". She will let you know if she's too hot. She will let you know if she's too cold. Just follow her cues.

  • My doctor always says to dress them using our body. If people commonly tell you you are always cold or hot take this into consideration but its generaly if you need a sweater to keep warm so does she and if you are roasting in a tank top and daisy dukes strip her to her diaper.LOL I'm sure you'll do fine.

  • that was one of my biggest fears before having dd, i felt pretty comfortable about most things but was so worried i wouldn't know how to dress her. i agree with the pp's that said the "add one layer" thing. just keep an eye on her, you will be able to tell if she's too hot or too cold. stay calm and trust in your mommy instinct. you'll do fine :) congrats on the baby, good luck!
