Im trying to find a new camera.....I have two picked out. The only diffrence is on is a DIGITAL and the other is an OPTICAL.

NOW what is the diffrence between the optical and digital...

  • I am assuming you are referencing the "zoom" of the camera. If so, here is the difference. An optical zoom uses the lenses to focus in on an object, pretty much the same way a pair of binoculars works. Digital zoom magnifies the object by enlarging in the picture through a digital process; therefore, it is not a "true" zoom.
