- how do you get the burn taste out of soup??? Thanks!!

I burned the bottom of the pot for chicken soup now the whole pot tastes burnt - changed the pot and put a potato in to absorb but it does not seem to be working!!! Help!!!

  • Add some Pimenton (smoked paprika) and call it smokey chicken soup. It might just work :)

  • I was going to say add some liquid smoke to make it taste a bit like hickory chicken soup.

  • the potato takes out extra salt. there really is nothing you can do except next time get it into another pot ASAP. This is coming from a professional!

  • Next time this happens don't stir the soup! Dump the soup into a knew pot and leave the burnt in the old one. One thing that may help you now though is to strain out your chicken and vegetables and add them to a new pot with new broth. If necessary rinse the 'filling' lightly first. That would only be necessary if you have mixed in the burnt part though.
