Gaithner is SO funny.....and completely without credability...yes?

Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, who was forced to fork up $34,000 in unpaid back taxes, told the House Ways and Means Committee Tuesday that the Obama administration will be going after people who avoid and evade taxes.

HAHAHAHAHA....SERIOUSLY? Does he start with himself? OH , ands then move on to the other members of the cabinet ( and for you dems ...Palin?) ?

Even if you are a dem you have to think it was silly of him to make this kind of ANNOUNCEMENT!?

Do you think he has the (for lack of a better word) right to be "going after" people when HE did it too?

  • He paid his taxes back. So he can say what he wants-it's called freedom of speech. I'm waiting for Gov. Palin to pay her taxes.

  • LOL.. Geithner is an idiot. Classic definition of "pot calling the kettle black"...

And Anon "against Palin": If Palin were in charge of overseeing the IRS, or a part of the Obama Finace/Budget Admin you would have a FEDERAL case and a valid point in this question. Otherwise, take it up with the state of Alaska.. You are comparing apples and oranges... silly illogical anons.

  • Amazing this feels like the twilight zone.

Obama dicatating to Americans where to set their thermostats and who to not listen to..while he sets his any place he wants and listens to whoever he wants. The spendulous bill with all the rediculous garbage in that.Alot of payback to those who got him elected.

Geithner one of several tax evaders in this cabinet is now say ROAAAAAAR were comming to get you other tax evaders you cannot evade and skip along like us because you are not "special."

  • As much as I want to, I cannot come up with a sarcastic remark, I think I used them all up yesterday. Just a quick note, for anyone who thinks they may get away without paying taxes, think again.Obama has a new task force in order especially for tax evasion and fraud and the IRS will be like hell on wheels. Which makes him and his partners very hypocritical more so than we ever thought, the numbers of people losing homes due to IRS confiscation will be nothing compared to the predatory lenders. Mark my words, there will be more heartache over the IRS soon, then there was from subprime loans. And it won't be televised, and it won't make the news and there will be no bailouts. Jail time instead.

  • so you are saying that because he had tax problems in the past and paid those back taxes, that he shouldn't go after tax evaders. we should just allow people to evade taxes?
