do you think the show secret life of the american teenager. where the 15 y/o girl is pregnant and is keeping the baby because her family and friends are going to help her out is giving teenage girls a false image of what parenthood is really like?

  • yes and no.. they didn't show the morning sickness, that can be really bad in some women, I hope that they dont show the labor scene as all sunshine and roses. they haven't shown the intrusive exams that are done when first finding out, and as she progresses, they haven't actually shown the costs..and in this economy.they haven't shown the rude remarks alot of teen moms get(they barely grazed over it)..they haven't shown alot of stuff that goes with being pregnant. they haven't shown that not all families are going to be supportive even with adoption, they haven't shown the daddy not wanting part of it, or guys running for the hills when they find out she is... I feel it is a very rosy picture of how pregnancy as a teen would go.... but at the same time it has shown the reality of adoption being an option.
