Will humans ever live on another planet?

Scientists are launching a NASA telescope to search the Milky Way galaxy to search for planets that are conducive to supporting life. Do you think they will actually find one? I think there's a possibility, and its very exciting! (But I've loved Astronomy since I was a little kid).,2933,504747,00.html

  • I don't know what they will find, but I do also enjoy space study and also hope that one day they will find and hopefully colonize another life sustaining planet.

  • I don't think they will find anything but I do believe there is life on other planets. We just can't be the only ones.

  • I love astronomy but with all the problems we have on this planet, I do not agree with spending this much money on looking for life or possibility of life on other planets. We should be making sure that a meteor isn't going to hit us, not wasting it on trips to mars or looking for life. Let's give our children a GOOD education first. Then they can look for life, once our economy is in better shape.

  • Oh, yes. The human race will spread like wildfire. We can't help's in our DNA.

There will be New Pilgrims who travel far to establish a home where they can worship as they want and use their belief system as a basis of government.

There will be explorers who want to see things that no one has ever seen before.

There will be scientists seeking answers.

There will be those who are yearning for a better life.

The same things that brought people to the American continent will bring them to new worlds...we just need a Drake, a Magellan, a Columbus to do the exploring.

  • I can surely think of waaay better things for the US to spend their money on. This is just stupid.

  • I think with the current state of the economy, it's not something that should be done now. It does need to be done, though. This planet isn't going to be able to sustain the growth of the population forever.

  • I agree not really something that should be done at this time but later on.
