  • They make those wonder paper markers and paints (they only show up on the paper). It lets them paint without you having to deal with a mess. My son loves those. Play dough isn't that bad as long as you put them in a high chair or outside. They also make some mats that they can paint with water. That's one of my son's fave things b/c it comes with a water marker that you just refill or they can use a paintbrush. He really enjoys it and I don't have to worry about stains.

  • I was going to suggest finger painting - until I saw the "little mess" part! They have those color wonder paints and markers as posted above. There's that aquadoodle thing - but I think that's more of an activity than a craft.

    Hope you find something!

  • My 2 yr old loves to paint and glue, You don't want a mess, sometimes we cut out colored shapes, i put a dot of glue on the back, she sticks it on.
