Is the Limbaugh issue currently a distration or a planned event to get Obama to start explaining his agenda?

I ask, because after taking the bait, Obama was immediately challenged to a debate by Rush. I think this was all sort of planned, to get Gibbs, Emmanuel and Obama fired up, and Rush knew it would stay on top for awhile.
( like Rosie and Trump)

  • Both. It's a distraction to the White House, but likely planned by Limbaugh. And it's great timing. The more they concentrate on trying to silence the Right, the more impatient and annoyed the American public becomes. You know, the ones that Obama vowed to 'help' with this so called stimulus. They are losing their asses in a market he refuses to acknowledge. Surprising since one of his favorite and most used words has been Crisis. Where did that word go?

  • Why in the world would a president take a debate challenge from a radio host? That is LUDACRIS! President Obama has stated his "agenda" since the campaign and he is following through now.....Really, I thought it was us liberals that had all the wild conspiracy theories!!

  • They are worried about the opposition. There would be no other reason to sidetrack with Rush, unless they are trying to push something they don't want the American public to focus on. That's another option. But with all of these Tea Parties forming across the nation, they should be worried.  Problem is, the more they try to silence Rush, the more the average citizen sees that as a violation of Rush's free speech.  Even if they don't agree with him, he is entitled to his opinions.

  • 100% yes. Obama should be more concerned with making those corporate executives reimburse those of us who lost 30% or more of our 401Ks and those who got those ridiculous raises to give it back! That would help for starters, shut up already about Rush!

  • Totally planned. Obama has an agenda and it is not going to be good for any of us. What is sad by the time he gets it all passed and done there may be nothing any of us can do including his supporters.

  • Who is trying to silence Rush? His own party keeps bringing him up , attacking them apologizing to him. Also, THEY INVITED HOM TO SPEAK AT CPAC......If you want to remain a "private citizen", then dont be a main speaker at the CONSERVATIVE POLITICAL ACTION COMMITTEE!

Also , Rush is NOT a "private citizen" he is an entertainer who makes his living off of politics. and Im sure he is LOVING all this FREE publicity right now

  • I want to see them debate!

Now who do you think will win?

Of course, it is beneath the dignity of the President of the United States to do such a thing, but if you won't tell the White House, I won't! They'll never guess.
