  • Mine did on average one every day. On occasion he would skip a day but make up for it the next day.

  • It depends on the baby. Mine is 1 month and goes twice a day. Learn to know what is normal for your baby. If the baby is struggling to poop then try a thermometer up the butt that might work. If the baby's poop is runny call your ped.

  • Normal on a daily basis. It is normal for BF babies to go several days to a week with out a BM.

  • It depends if baby is formula fed or BF. For exclusively BF babies: It is normal for the bowel movements of a breastfed to decrease in frequency when the colostrum, which has laxative properties, is completely gone from the mother's milk after about six weeks of age. A baby this age may continue to have bowel movements as frequently as five times a day, sometimes even after every nursing. It is also normal for a breastfed baby older than six weeks to have only one bowel movement every few days. Some healthy babies will have only one bowel movement a week. When bowel movements are less frequent, they should be more profuse in volume. As long as the baby is gaining well, wetting sufficiently, and is happy and content there is no cause to be alarmed by infrequent bowel movements

  • Depends on the baby.
My son is breastfed and at 2 months went once every 5-7 days

  • My 6 mo is bf and only goes once a week (although until about 4 months it was once a day), but so was my other daughter who has always gone multiple times a day. A friend of mine's son only went once a week, if that, from one week of life on. If the consistency is the same your baby's not constipated.
