Fake teeth?

Ok so I just read Edna's question and it made me wonder. Is there such a thing as a fake tooth? I had a tooth pulled a couple of years ago. It's on the side and not too noticeable but I don't like to smile anymore because I'm embarassed. Is there anything besides dentures or a bridge that a dentist could put in there?

  • I know they have implant teeth they could put there. I just got a partial denture for my top teeth b/c they all kept going bad and I love smiling now.. I hope this helps you..

  • Well you can get wha they call a cantilevered bridge. They can anchor the "fake" tooth between two existing teeth. They also have titanium implants that screw right into your jaw with a fake tooth on top...but they are about 3 grand a tooth.

  • Well whatever you put there is going to be consider a fake tooth.

Get a crown put over the stub some dentists can do wonders just make sure you are not in a place where they have a black light. One night we were at a club and noticed this really pretty girl laughing her butt off and noticed her teeth were very dark shade when they turned on the normal lights her teeth looked good. (something with the black light does something to these crowns) it is scary if you don't know. Hope I saved someone from getting embarrassed.
