Tattooed Barbie Rocks the Web

Barbie has changed quite a bit over her 50 years. She's been a princess, a mermaid, and most alarmingly, a NASCAR fan. But she's never gotten inked up...until now. That's right, kids. America's sweetheart now comes with tattoos, and some parents are outraged.

Seriously, why is this a big deal? How many of us played with temporary tattoos as a child? I do not believe this encourages children to show off their bodies.

  • I have tattoo's but I don't show off my body, so i don't think it promotes it, but that's me. That is a pretty neat barbie though :-D.

  • I read somewhere that women with tats is somewhere around 40%, and rising. I have tattoos myself, and no... it's never encouraged me to flash more skin, unless I'm being vulgar in wearing my tank tops during the summer, which happens to mean my tats are visible.

I find it funny that Bratz dolls, as well as Barbie herself, can pass under the radar more or less, but tats? No way.
