Phone calls at work

I'm just wondering, does anyone work in the office in a factory ? Do they give you messages, if someone calls for you or not ? Does it depend on the size of the factory ?

  • At my company we screen calls. If they are office we just put them through regardless. Now if they work in the factory we ask if it is a family emegrency. If not we tell them they can't take calls. The wives know to ask for the shift foreman and get a message to him.

My DH work use to put you through but now they only do it occassionally.

Both of these are 50+ employee factories.

    Really just depends on company.
