Once you have started progesterone suppositories will stopping initiate labor?

My preg was going fine I am five weeks and two days. A midwife suggested I take progesterone because I have a history of miscarriages. I started taking them yesterday and regret it. I am wondering if a sudden change from the sythetic will cause labor.

  • Keep taking it to help your body hold onto the embryo. Stay on it until at least week 12 when the fetus creates enough of its own for support.

  • Plus the quick drop in progesterone levels could signal your body to slough off the uterine lining bringing on a late period/early miscarriage.
