What can I give a 8 month old for a cough?

  • Not much. We do baby vicks on the chest and feet, and a cool mist humidifier.

  • baby vicks.

    add some honey to the breastmilk/formula or even better to the baby tea, when you have some. That will make the throat a little softer and it wont hurt as much when s/he has to cough.

  • No Honey before 1, he could die!!!! Big nono, anyways u cant give him medicne excpet tylenol the other stuff is for kids 4 and older.

  • If it's a bad cough and you're very concerned see the doctor.

    Otherwise,for any congestion there might be, elevate the head of his crib to help drainage of any mucous.
    Steam to help break up some congestion.
    Run a humidifier in the bedroom to help.
    Tylenol if there's any discomfort from the cold.

    That's for a "basic" cold....

  • When my daughter was 8 months old I had a prescription for her. Go to your doctor and see if there is anything you can get or if you even need anything like that..
