  • She may just have a lingering cough for awhile, or she may be brewing a case of bronchitis. I think it warrants a call to the doctor if she's still coughing that hard and is in pain. They may want her on another round of antibiotics, or they may want to try a different antibioitic. Or sometimes a dose of prednisone is what you need to kick a lung infection. Or, of course, they may said it just needs to run its course. So definitely, call the doc and explain how things have progressed. Poor thing. Hope she's better soon.

  • I would go ahead and go back so they can take a look at it. There are some nasty bugs going around and they may want to try something diff. or just monitor the situation and let it run its course.

  • She might have a cough for a couple of weeks even while on medications. You could call your pediatrician and see if she can have any cough medicine... but I would for sure ask. Some illnesses it's okay to give cough medicine and others they want the child to cough to help clear the lungs.
