  • I do not feel that the government has our best interest in mind. I would rather private companies assume those roles. There are plenty of things that the FDA put on my grocery store shelves that are far from safe and ok for my family. The federal government has one role. Protecting our safety from foreign enemies. I mean really ladies what kind of job are they doing in those areas now? Health care is a private workforce and in now way should be governed by the federal government. The medical community as a whole should have rules and regulations that they as a private entity have laid down for their employees and the local and state law makers should have the ablity to lay laws in regards to their state.

  • Yeah right, look where deregulating the food industry and turning the FDA into a corporate backed government program has got us. Nothing like food recalls, salmonella, and e-coli running amuck because there's no oversight or it's too lax.

  • I am for reasonable govt regulations on businesses. At least we have some say over the govt, in theory. Private business w/o regulations are only accountable to their share holders and care for nothing except increasing their bottom line, often at the expense of the consumer or environment.
